Welcome to May Favourites.
A new monthly series bringing you my favourite products, this month, straight from “the dressing room”. I put this in quotes because quite frankly if you saw the way my clothes and make up are currently stored –you’d run a mile. The joys of renovation life..! But it doesn’t stop me lusting and treating myself to products.
Here are some I think you’ll love too. This month focusing on products rather than clothes, because with an ever growing bump, clothes are the least of my worries right now!
1. Ultrasun Face & Scalp Mist
Since returning from on holiday I have to keep a stock of this nearby. If you’re not wearing SPF everyday (even in the winter) then please consider it something you must add to your routine. Here’s a great post from one of my clients Advanced Skin Cheltenam about SPF.
When you’re on holiday you want something light and not so heavy, especially if you want to wear make up on top. I found this product from Ultrasun before we took off to Fuerteventura and I used it on the whole family. Our face, neck, ears and hair were all covered in a weightless spray and none of us burnt. (And BONUS! no whining from the 6 year old about putting cream on his face) Win/win!
2. Glov
Another pre holiday purchase, there’s never a towel the right size for my hair in a hotel, hand towel too small and a bath towel… well way too big. So I found this pre holiday and took a punt on it. It’s amazing and definitely sped up the process of drying hair.
3. Wild Nutrition
I have been taking the Wild Nutrition Immune Support tablets for around a year. I have recently switched my subscription to the Pregnancy + New Mother Support while I’m pregnant. Now this brand is on the higher end on price but as I’m becoming older I’m becoming more aware of the things I’m putting into my body. All Wild Nutrition capsules are food grown and the business is female founded. What’s not to love.

4. Banana Lowlighter – Rodial
This has been a staple of mine for a LONG time. After seeing it recommended by Lydia Millen, I’ve never used another product to cover up the bags under my eyes and great for minor imperfections too. It’s reduced my reliance on heavier products.
5. Living Proof Dry Shampoo
Gone are the days of dry shampoo leaving you with white streaks and an itchy scalp. Living Proof actually cleans your hair, giving you an extra day free from washing your mane.
And that’s a wrap! I hope you find this series useful, I love discovering and being nosy at what other people use, as it might just include a hidden gem you’d not heard about.
Until next time,
Ax
